The Association of Kent Veteran Golfers

AKVG DEVON TOUR 2025
The Kent team had a wonderful trip to Devon for the first double header encounter with the Devon Men’s Veteran Golfing Association (DMVGA) on the 2nd July at Churston and 3rd July at Tiverton under the leadership of Captain Nigel Tubman.

The overall result of the double header was a 9-7 win for Kent.  The result at Churston was a 5½ to 2½ win for Kent but at Tiverton, Devon won 4½ to 3½. This is the 4th year in a row that Kent have won the Trophy and the 26th year of the competition. 

Both courses were in great condition and the weather was glorious, if a little hot and humid. The two-match format was very successful and such was the demand to play, Devon managed to field different teams for both matches (except their Captain, Malcolm Tester, a Kentish Man no less, who played in both). Needless to say, we met some great people, ate well, and all played extremely well. 

We are all looking forward to July 2026 when Devon will visit Kent to try to wrest the Trophy from our hands.
